WASH is one of UNICEF Sudan’s core programme areas contributing to child survival, development, protection, and resilience. In Sudan’s complex humanitarian and development environment, UNICEF manages a broad portfolio of donor-funded WASH interventions, supported by a range of development and humanitarian partners.

How can you make a difference?

You contribute to the preparation, consolidation, analysis, and quality review of programme performance information, donor reports, situation reports (SitReps), humanitarian updates, and other strategic communication products. You support accountability and reporting obligations to key development and humanitarian partners, including the African Development Bank, World Bank, Government of the Netherlands, KfW Development Bank, and other humanitarian funding mechanisms. Through effective information management, knowledge sharing, and documentation of results, lessons learned, and best practices, you strengthen programme quality, visibility, organizational learning, and the overall impact of UNICEF’s WASH interventions in Sudan.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in public health, International Development, WASH, Social Sciences, Communications, Engineering, or another field relevant to WASH programme management is required.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), WASH programmed management, WASH project proposal, WASH project reporting. and any other related fields.
• Skills: Report writing, technical document developement, partnership document development, knowledge document development are required skills.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirables

• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
• Experience in Donor Reporting, Proposal development, Grant management, WASH communication, WASH knowledge management is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
