How can you make a difference?

You, as the WASH Officer, report to the WASH Specialist (Level 3) in Gaza for supervision. The WASH Officer provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the WASH programming process. The Officer prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme.

You will specifically work on the partnerships with implementing partners for the implementation of the WASH programme.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements

• Education: Advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Science, Behavioral Science, Engineering-Civil, Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Engineering and any other related fields.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Water & Environmental Sanitation, Humanitarian Assistance, Public Health, Humanitarian Response, Emergency Preparedness, Programme Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Partnership Management, Capacity Building, Policy Advocacy, Resource Mobilization. and any other related fields.
• Skills: Strong experience in Programme Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Humanitarian Response, Public Health, Environmental Engineering, and Behavior Change Communication is required.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic is required.

Desirables

• Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts, considered an asset.
