How can you make a difference?

You will support and assist with the efficient implementation of courses in Agora, UNICEF’s learning management system as the Learning & Development Assistant (Course Developer) with the Global Learning Centre team.

This post is a Temporary Appointment for 6 months.

This will involve:

As a Learning & Development Assistant (Course Developer), you will focus and support on:

• Supporting the platform migration from Totara to Moodle Workplace with features testing, content and data migration testing and content layout fixes.
• Developing courses, specifically, publishing learning activities and resources on Agora
• Updating online learning solutions implementing small bug fixes and archiving materials
• Maintaining training participation records and evaluation reports

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

• Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical courses related to the scope of the job is required. University Degree is an asset; in either Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, Public/Business Administration or any other relevant field.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in online content management is required. A completed BA degree from an accredited institution qualifies as three (3) years’ experience and will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirement.
• Curriculum development experience and back-end experience with learning management systems is required.

Capabilities Required:

• Project Management, Collaboration, Problem Solving, Digital Dexterity

Language requirements:

• Fluency in both spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.

Internal applicants from the GSSC are required to complete the Learning Path corresponding to their current level before applying for another position. Additionally, they must attach a snapshot of the completed path to their applications. Applications that do not meet these two minimum requirements will not be considered. Applicants must be nationals of Hungary or EU/Schengen countries OR in the possession of a valid long-term Hungarian residence and work permits. Temporary and/or sponsored visas are not accepted. UNICEF GSSC does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff, applicants must be holders of acceptable permits already at the time of application.
