Senior Private Sector Partnerships Individual Giving Associate
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees and other persons of concern (POC).
Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) sits within UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector for refugees. UNHCR has developed a Private Sector Fundraising Strategy focusing on both Individual Giving and Private Sector Partnerships, identifying priority fundraising markets and regions.
Individual Giving (IG) is targeted at the general public to secure the support of individuals through regular, unrestricted donations, cash appeals and legacies. The aim is to generate both monthly and one-time donations from individuals using various channels and methods including direct mail, face-to-face fundraising, telemarketing, digital fundraising, DRTV and emergency fundraising, with focus on strong donor loyalty and lifetime value.
The purpose is to maximize the donor base from the individual giving (IG) for UNHCR, those with the ability to provide donations of between $1 to $10.000 (depending on local market conditions, as well as scope of responsibility) per year to UNHCR.
The Senior PSP Individual Giving Associate promotes team development of the IG team, providing effective leadership to enable and motivate a team of support staff members to operate to their full potential.

Work to develop cross channel fundraising campaigns such as F2F, Digital, DRTV, Multichannel, Direct mailing, etc. and in particular for:

Desired Candidate Profile
Reporting directly to the Assistant Individual Giving Officer in Mexico, we are seeking a dynamic, proactive, creative, and result-oriented team player who will be responsible for all the management, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of the Donor Engagement program.
The selected candidate must ensure the programme achieves and maintains the UNHCR ROI standard, increase donor´s Life Time Value (LTV), and ensure the engagement of donors with the organization.
Mexico's current fundraising strategy is focused on acquiring new donors through online and offline strategies. The cumulative income from our existing donor base is the largest part of the annual income, it is necessary to ensure the highest retention of our donors, keeping donors engaged and developed.
To achieve it, the selected candidate will work closely with the PSP team, developing online and offline strategies to reach 100% of donors with different multichannel journeys to keep them informed, engaged, and donating. The selected candidate must implement campaigns to maximizing income such as special appeals, reactivation journeys, among others.
The role requires working closely with different national and international teams, such as PSP Mexico team, the UNCHR Mexico Branch office, PSP regional team, and the PSP specialized teams in headquarters. It is important for this position to be highly flexible in order to adjust to different circumstances such as teleworking, patience and the capacity to innovate and respond to different scenarios of implementation and uncertainty.
As leader of the Donor Engagement strategy, the selected candidate requires analytic skills to have a full perspective of donor data to design strategies that improve donor lifetime value through multi-channel strategies (telephone, WhatsApp, Email, direct mail). The selected candidate requires the ability to manage internal and external teams, such as telemarketing agencies.
The selected candidate will also assist in the preparation of the office/region reports, budget control and planning.
Online and offline fundraising experience is essential.
