FHI 360 is seeking a Senior Program Officer (SPO) to serve as a core member of the EpiC WASH team in Mozambique. The Senior Program Officer – WASH will provide day-to-day coordination, tracking, and quality assurance support to ensure that technical assistance activities are delivered on time, meet required standards, and are fully compliant with donor requirements and organizational policies.
The position serves as the operational and coordination link between technical staff, sub-partners, and internal operations, finance, and monitoring and evaluation teams. Working closely with the Senior Technical Advisor for WASH (STA-WASH), the SPO will track progress against the workplan, coordinate timely preparation of deliverables and reports, and support consistent documentation, filing, and follow-up.
This role is critical to enabling the technical team to function effectively by establishing and maintaining systems, trackers, and processes that support quality, coherence, and consistency across project activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, persistence in follow-up, sound judgment in identifying risks and escalating issues, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Through this function, the Senior Program Officer contributes directly to the successful implementation of EpiC’s WASH objectives in Mozambique. This position reports to the Senior Technical Advisor- WASH.
The expected hiring salary range for this role is USD 47,500 - 55,000 for annual basic salary. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, market pay, and budget. For internal candidates, salary placement will also follow FHI 360’s current promotional increase guidelines.
