SUMMARY OF THE ASSIGNED DUTIES, INCLUDING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POST
Within the Executive Directorate Investigation Support, Cybercrime Directorate (EDIS/CD), The INTERPOL Cybercrime Intelligence Unit (CIU) is a secure workspace where law enforcement and the private sector collaborate to triage threats, consider disruptive responses and produce actionable intelligence to assist INTERPOL member countries in the fight against cybercrime. The CIU utilises information and data from multiple sources; collecting, processing, storing, analysing, evaluating and disseminating intelligence to assist member countries in tackling cybercrime. It produces intelligence at strategic, tactical and operational levels. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Cybercrime Threat Intelligence (CTI) and in support of the INTERPOL Crime Programmes, the Head of CIU is a senior manager overseeing daily operations of a team consisting of personnel seconded from law enforcement agencies around the world and contracted staff with specialized expertise
