The incumbent of this post reports to the Area / Camp Relief and Social Services Officer, under the overall technical supervision and guidance of the Field Relief Services Officer
Responsibilities
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent: 1- Conducts desk study and home visits to refugees applying for Social Transfer Assistance (Social Safety Net Programme (SSNP) and Emergency Programmes); collects socioeconomic data to determine eligibility for assistance, and conducts periodic site reassessments for active recipient cases in accordance with Relief Services Instructions (RSI) or applicable emergency assistance instructions. 2- Maintains accurate and up-to-date information on families on receipt of social transfer assistance, documentation, data entry/modifications on the relevant database, completing social study reports including rejected, approved, and closed cases. 3- Identifies/refers refugees facing protection risks or in need of additional social work assistance/ intervention to Area Social Work Supervisor (ASWS). 4- Recommends - as per instructions for short-term emergency in kind / cash assistance eligibility for families in crises after conducting initial site assessment and completing all related work process. 5- Follows-up the timely delivery of approved cash and/or in-kind assistance to eligible families and follows up on families that failed to collect their due assistance. 6- Implements/participates, as directed, in surveys and studies in the refugee community to analyze socio-economic trends. 7- Participates, as requested, in workshops, meetings intended to improve professional knowledge and skills relevant to his/her field of work and transmits such acquired knowledge to other Relief Workers/ newly recruited Relief Workers. 8- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. The incumbent is required to: 1- Travel within the Field in the course of performing his/her duties, thus, must be willing and capable to drive an Agency vehicle. 2- The incumbent may be required to undertake professional in-service training as directed with the field of assignment.

Education
University degree from accredited university in social work, sociology, psychology, guidance and counseling and social anthropology, or other related fields.
