The role
We are currently looking for Project Officer based in Khammouane Province (Xebangfay District x1, Mahaxay District x1 and Nhommalath district x1).
Role Purpose
The Project Officer is responsible for implementing project activities in assigned target districts in Lao PDR, delivering community and school preparedness interventions (Result 2) and supporting the roll-out of early warning protocols and last-mile dissemination (Result 1). Working under the Senior Project Coordinator, the post-holder is the project’s primary presence at district level, building strong relationships with district authorities which including with the district of Labour and Social Welfare, the Lao Red Cross and communities. Working hand on hand on capacity building for VDPU and implementing day to day activities at community’s level and school preparedness.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
