The Project Coordinator will serve as the overall lead for the UN Macro Grant in Sri Lanka, ensuring
strategic oversight, donor accountability, and programmatic integration across Food Assistance,
Anticipatory Action, Shelter/NFIs, and Humanitarian Data Assessment & Coordination.
This role also incorporates technical leadership for cash-based transfers and anticipatory action,
ensuring thresholds, triggers, and delivery mechanisms (SCOPE, bank transfers) are implemented
effectively and aligned with government systems.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Strategic Oversight: Lead overall implementation of the Macro Grant, ensuring coherence
across all sectors.
2. Donor Reporting: Prepare timely, accurate, and results-based reports to the US Government
donor.
3. Programme Integration: Ensure effective integration of cash transfers, anticipatory action triggers, NFI pre-positioning, and disaster preparedness coordination.

Education: Advanced university degree in International Development, Political Science, Economics, or
related field; or First University degree with additional years of relevant experience.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management and
coordination, with at least 3 years in cash-based transfers or anticipatory action programming.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong analytical writing, planning, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and
collaboratively; familiarity with food security, logistics, and disaster preparedness.
