Key Responsibilities:
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing monthly Plan of Actions (POAs)
- Establishing mutual relationships with key stakeholders and partners through effective communication
- Facilitate project activities monthly.
- Engage and support Autonomous Bougainville Regional Health (ABG Health) Care Workers and concerned stakeholders to effectively coordinate and ensure delivery of the Childhood vaccine in accordance with the National Vaccination Plan.
- Work with ABG Health to engage faith leaders and other community leaders in their implementation planning and at the same time engage extensively with communities themselves, especially vulnerable groups, to provide accurate information on the nature and purpose of the vaccine awareness and participate in the vaccine roll-out (Outcome 2).
- Lead the conduct assessments as well as conduct of barrier studies/vaccine hesitancy survey to identify the local behavioral determinants of vaccine acceptance that will inform a wide range of RCCE interventions.
- Coordinate and provide support to ABG Health to conduct of vaccination training roll-out according GoPNG National Vaccination Plan.
- undefinedThe Project Coordinator will work in close supervision Senior Project Coordinator, Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation officer and with the Area Program Team of their respective Provincial assignments. Overall, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for implementing the overall project activities, supervise the project M&E officer, which will lead to the quality delivery of the AIHSS Project for World Vision Papua New Guinea. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator for effective implementation and reporting of the project activities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or college qualification in nursing or public health. Preferably social sciences
- Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
- Basic understanding of project management cycle principles
- Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English.
- Good networking and partnership development skills
- Sound knowledge in PNG Government systems and programs
- Computer literate
- Communication, advocacy & facilitation skills
- At least 2-3 years of experience in implementing projects engaging various stakeholders/partners.
- Experience in partners engagement and networking
- Experience in working with Provincial and District Government Offices
- Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing
- Experience in Community mobilization and leadership role
