Project Associate (Protection)

The position is for a Project Associate (Protection), G5, based at the Dewelle Migration Response Centre in Somali Region, Ethiopia, under the direct supervision of the Head of Sub-Office in Jigjiga and the technical Supervision of the National Protection Officer. The role supports IOM Ethiopia’s Protection Unit by providing tailored assistance to migrants in vulnerable situations, including returnees, stranded migrants, victims of trafficking, children, and individuals with health or other protection needs. Key responsibilities include supporting service delivery at the MRC, compiling and analysing migrant protection data, coordinating administrative and budget-related aspects of project implementation, liaising with government and partners, preparing reports and documentation, monitoring implementing partners, and supporting meetings, trainings, and coordination activities.
