Geneva Call is a neutral and impartial non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting respect by Armed Groups, De Facto Authorities (AGDAs) and Provisional Governments for international humanitarian norms in armed conflict and other situations of violence, in particular those related to the protection of civilians. Geneva Call focuses its efforts on banning the use of anti-personnel mines, protecting children from the effects of armed conflict, prohibiting sexual violence in armed conflict, working towards the elimination of gender discrimination, protecting civilian infrastructure, and ensuring humanitarian access.
The Programme Coordinator (PC), under the supervision of the Head of Programme (HOP), oversees the technical and operational delivery of multiple projects, ensuring timely, high-quality implementation and achievement of key deliverables. The PC leads projects that contribute to a multiyear programme in Ukraine aiming in the short term to build International Humanitarian Law knowledge among all parties involved in the conflict; and over the middle-long term to leverage policy development and enforcement of norms related to the protection of civilians and public infrastructure and negotiating humanitarian access.
The PC supervises programme coordinators and Officers, supports nationwide engagement, and contributes to fostering dialogue with armed actors and communities. They ensure projects meet objectives within scope, budget, and timelines, while maintaining strong documentation, reporting, and compliance with internal procedures and donor requirements.
The PC also supports financial management, including budgeting and budget tracking, and contributes to programme design and planning. They ensure alignment between field implementation and the overall country strategy.
