How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief WASH, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation and reporting results.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements:

• Education: A completed Secondary education is required.
• Work Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience in administrative or clerical work experience is required.
• Language Requirements: Proficiency in French and Intermediate level of English are required.

Desirables:

• Language: Proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Spanish or Russian).
• Completion of specialized training and/or certification in programme management, project management, results-based management (RBM), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data analysis or other fields relevant to programme administration and coordination will be a strong asset.
• Strong programme monitoring, performance reporting experience are desirable.
• Technical skills in one or more of the following areas are desirable and will be considered an asset: Knowledge and understanding of digital tools such as Power BI, KoboToolbox, RapidPro and other digital data collection and reporting platforms are desirable.
• Experience working in a developing country and/or familiarity with emergency is a strong asset.
• Experience in a UN system agency or international organization is considered a strong asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
