Job Description:
The Private Sector Partnership Specialist will be responsible for Child Sponsorship and Private Non-Sponsorship acquisition of corporations ESG/ CSR budget, retails budget (from CSR or Cause-Related Marketing effort), foundations and embassies in Indonesia. She/ he will lead the development of program proposals or contract bids specific for the identified donors or opportunities, in coordination with all relevant departments. The job holder will be a key contributor in the execution of funding from Corporations, Foundations, Retails and Embassies acquisition plan/ strategy, partnership development, donor relations, proposal development and funding management. She/ he is also expected to facilitate and promote knowledge sharing and learning in her/ his area of work, i.e. fundraising and project management.
All staff are expected to contribute to Wahana Visi Indonesia’s Transformational Development, Advocacy, and Emergency Response approaches, and may be required to support emergency response efforts in a timely, coordinated, and accountable manner.
Strategy Development & Planning
- Support the development and execution of private sector partnership strategies (Ministry Funding Strategy and Donor Engagement Plans)
- Translate strategic directions into operational work plans and timelines
- Contribute to refining partnership approaches and models
- Conduct research on corporate/ retails/ foundations/ embassies prospects, sectors, and partnership trends
- Map potential partners based on industry, ESG priorities, and alignment
- Monitor competitor and peer organization partnership activities
Resource Acquisition & Management
- Contribute to the development and review of short and long-term acquisition and management strategies that build upon the WVI’s area of excellence and core programs
- Gather relevant intelligence information, undertake research to identify donors (corporates, retails, foundations, and embassies) interests and priorities, and scope potential partnership to complement and strengthen WVI’s program portfolio and reach.
- Track and update prospect lists, engagement status, and opportunities
- Develop proposal aligned with the program priorities and donor interests, in close coordination with program team, program specialist, finance, procurement and other staff, to preposition WVI in successfully acquiring funding
- Monitor funding status for each project within programs to identify possible funding gaps and ensure smooth transition from one donor source to the next.
- Prepare briefing notes and background information for meetings
Capacity Building/ Technical works
- Explore the capacity building session together with the Head of Private Sector Partnership to strive for excellent deliverables for the organization.
- Follow coaching for performance for self- development plans/programs
- Regularly update Orange, Horizon, PBAS and PIH with key documents, according to agreed timeframe and RACI.
- Establish and maintain a repository of proposal development templates, pre-award tools, program concepts, capacity statements, proposal templates, pricing tables, reports, project evaluations, etc. in coordination with the concerned staff from M&E and KML
Accountability & Quality Assurance
- Ensure regular communication through provision of donor reports, share of information that demonstrate the impact and outcomes of WVIDN and partners’ investments to secure sustainable partnerships.
- Ensure database of supporters' contact is developed and maintained.
- Ensure that donors comply with all Organization Policies include Code of Conduct, Safeguarding, Conflict of Interest, e-Mail & IT Access.
- Ensure the prospect donors receive the proper information needed to enhance their trust and loyalty and to avoid expectation gap.
- Submits periodical/monthly accomplishment report.
Networking & Coordination/ Engagement
- Conceptualize and support delivery of creative donor/corporate engagement events (e.g., roundtables, networking sessions, campaign launches, impact showcases)
- Develop engagement concepts that enhance partner experience and visibility
- Collaborate with communications team to ensure strong storytelling and branding elements
- Maintain regular communication with partners through structured engagement plans
- Support relationship nurturing activities (check-ins, updates, invitations)
- Personalize engagement based on partner interests and priorities
Management & Leadership
- Develop and manage annual performance agreement
- Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report
- Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department
- Acknowledge WVI’s organization values
- Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
- Manage all implementations and risks related to Private Sector Partnership unit according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks.
Requirement
- Bachelor degree from Business Administration, Social Sciences or any relevant fields.
- Min. 3 years working experience in Marketing, B2B, Sales or Fund Raising Project
- Familiar with public fundraising with corporates, foundations, shopping malls and retails, and embassies
- Strong commercial orientation with discerning interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English with a minimum TOEFL score of 550. Candidates must provide a valid TOEFL certificate and include the score on their resume
- Travel: Domestic and International may be required.
- Conduct active outreach and canvassing to corporate prospects to initiate engagement opportunities
- Arrange and attend on-site meetings with companies to present partnership opportunities
- Proactively identify and approach potential partners across targeted sectors
- Ability to attend social weekends and evening’s events as needed
- Comfortable with and excited by managing in an entrepreneurial environment with complex work stream
- Good health and high mobility, with the ability to conduct frequent on-site corporate/ retails/ foundation/ embassies visits and meetings
- Good analytical skill
- Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines and projects
- Proven presentation skill
- Good knowledge in proposal preparation and program management
