About the Organization:

Informed by lessons learned as the world’s largest and oldest peacebuilding organization, Common Ground-USA (CG-USA) is a bold initiative of Search for Common Ground (Search) building the conditions for a more inclusive, equitable, and peaceful society. We envision an America where we engage in collaboration across differences to address our greatest challenges, and where we can all belong and thrive. We see disagreement as an opportunity to transform conflict into cooperation on our daily and most pernicious problems.

Program Background:

Common Ground USA is building a team of videographers to capture programming events in our main programming locations: Orlando, Fl; New Orleans, LA; Washington, DC; Pennsylvania; and Texas. These events will range from our signature dining events, Common Ground Gatherings, to local programming run by our Resilient States Project (RSP) teams. The scope of each video will vary depending on the event, and the videographer will need to partner with the team to understand the full scope of the event. The Videographer will capture event b-roll and interviews, develop scripts for recap and donor videos, and create final video products. They will partner closely with the Senior Manager, Public Engagement, as well as other internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed.

Objectives of the Assignment:

  • Plan and execute on-location production days
  • Develop shot lists
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Track and analyze project performance, managing changes, minimizing risks, and reporting on project status.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and status updates.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and creative meetings.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices.

Expected Results:

  • Timely and successful delivery of videos within established scope and budget.
  • Comprehensive and accurate project documentation and reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.

Deliverables:

  • Three 90-second recap videos developed for social media within 48 hours of the conclusion of the event
  • One five minute overview of the event for donors within one month of the event
  • All raw recorded footage of CG-USA team on an external hard drive mailed to CG-USA headquarters in Washington, DC
