BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Under the general supervision of the Chief TECI and the direct supervision of the Lead the Threat Detection and Response, the incumbent will define policies, standards, telemetry requirements, detections, and governance for network and IoT security. The role focuses on shaping the design authority, telemetry architecture, and operational reporting required to stand up WFP’s Network Detection and Response capability across priority sites.
The incumbent will develop IoT trust tiers, NAC posture and exception criteria, segmentation patterns for high value zones and DNS security baselines. They will specify telemetry and profiling requirements for SIEM, SOAR, XDR and the new NDR sensors and cloud taps, build detection packs and playbooks for network borne threats and manage approvals, fallbacks and audit trails through change governance to ensure the NDR rollout is properly supported and governed.
