Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and in close coordination with the Head of Programmes and other programme Units in IOM Tajikistan, the National Programme Officer will be responsible for managing the Migration Solutions Unit. The National Programme Officer will provide strategic oversight and guidance to the programme team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and partners. The Migration Solutions Unit (MSU) leads IOM Tajikistan’s work on the migration-development nexus, promoting safe, orderly and regular migration as a driver of sustainable development, resilience and socio-economic inclusion. The Unit provides strategic leadership and technical expertise in labour mobility, economic empowerment and reintegration, social cohesion, migration health, climate change adaptation, and emergency preparedness.
