The Mechanic SSA G will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of a wide range of mechanical equipment and motor vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with established standards within the World Food Programme. Job Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various mechanical equipment, including generators, pumps, and other machinery relevant to WFP operations.
* Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on motor vehicles, ensuring their reliability and safety for field operations.
* Oversee and perform the installation of mechanical equipment according to technical specifications and safety guidelines.
* Manage inventory control for spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper record-keeping.
* Ensure strict compliance with all WFP safety protocols, operational procedures, and national regulations related to mechanical work.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners to optimize mechanical support and service delivery.
* Provide clear and concise communication regarding maintenance schedules, issues, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of mechanical services through proactive problem-solving and learning agility.
* Demonstrate a results-oriented approach, striving for efficient and effective completion of all mechanical tasks.
Job Qualifications:
* Proven experience in mechanical equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Extensive experience in motor vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with colleagues and partners.
* Demonstrated customer-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
* High level of emotional intelligence and emotional resilience to navigate challenging situations effectively.
* Ability to ensure compliance with established procedures and safety regulations.
