Learn more at undp.org Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager and direct supervisor, of the HR Analsyt or the Human Resource Associate, the HR Associate provides HR services ensuring high quality, accuracy and consistency of work. The HR Associate promotes a client-oriented and consistent with rules and regulations approach in the Unit. The HR Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ team in the CO and UNDP HQs staff to exchange information and ensure consistent service delivery. Additionally, UNDP PNG CO/Operations Unit currently is overwhelme with project delivery and so requires additional staff in HR unit for support and assistance with HR Administrative Servcies. HR Associate will provide support in the HR Administrative functions especially in Payroll, Recruitment and Contract Extensions for the unit while been supervised by the HR Associate.
Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Associate will support the day-to-day management of the Human Resource Unit. This includes ensuring that all planned activities are implemented efficiently to ensure alignment with the unit objectives and outcomes through
1.Ensure effective administration and implementation of HR strategies and policies.
2. Provide HR services to the UNDP CO and other UN agencies, including recruitment and staffing.
3. Ensure proper staff performance management, talent management and career development in CO.
4. Ensure facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO.
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
