This position is a temporary appointment to provide maternity cover. Under the overall supervision of the Head, Human Resources Services and in close coordination with the HR Officers, Workforce Planning and Recruitment, the incumbent will have responsibility for supporting activities related to recruitment and other HR projects.

At least five years of progressive and relevant experience in supporting activities across the full recruitment cycle. Experience in data analysis and reporting is essential. Experience advising on HR policies and experience in an international setting would be an asset.
Secondary education or equivalent to university entrance standard. A qualification or certification in human resources (e.g. CIPD) would be an advantage.
Proficiency in English (both oral and written), including ability to draft clearly and concisely is essential. Working knowledge of any other official UN language would be an asset.
Experience in drafting contracts, or HR guidance/ correspondence is essential.
Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Working knowledge of an e-recruitment or Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) e.g. SAP would be an advantage.
IMO temporary contracts are limited to a period of up to 1 year. Contracts are issued on a quarterly basis subject to funding, role requirements and performance. Hybrid working arrangements are available. There will be no expectation of conversion of employment to another type of contract.
