BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The World Food Programme (WFP) Egypt Country Office relies on an effective and responsive Human Resources function to attract, recruit, develop, and retain a talented workforce that supports the delivery of its Country Strategic Plan and operational priorities. The Human Resources Unit provides a broad range of services to staff and managers, including talent acquisition, onboarding, contract administration, employee support, performance management, learning and development, organizational processes, and HR reporting.
WFP Egypt is seeking a proactive and client-focused HR Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality HR services across the employee lifecycle. The selected candidate will contribute to a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment and selection, onboarding, personnel administration, HR reporting, employee support, and workforce data management.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple HR disciplines while working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and mission-driven environment. The incumbent will work closely with managers and employees across the organization and contribute to initiatives that support an engaged, effective, and high-performing workforce.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Service Contract (SC, L5)

DURATION: 12 months (extendable, subject to funding availability and successful performance)
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology or Organizational Behavior or any other relevant field.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in human resources administration, recruitment, personnel management, employee services or related HR functions.
Previous experience within the United Nations system, international organizations, NGOs or multinational organizations is desirable.

Language : Fluency in both English and Arabic is required.
