About the Solomon Islands Australia Education Partnership
The Solomon Islands-Australia Education Partnership (Edukeson fo iumi) focuses on supporting access to quality basic education, investing in the success of SINU, and providing scholarship and skills opportunities for Solomon Islands leaders and professionals. Building strong Solomon Islands-Australia education relationships at all levels is a priority.
The program - Stronger Education Together (SET) - aims to improve equitable school access and enhance the quality of education. Investing up to AUD 44 million over eight years in basic education in Solomon Islands, the program will support the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) to deliver accessible school infrastructure suitable for boys and girls; Solomon Islands National University (SINU) to train effective teachers in modern and inclusive practices; and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to support, promote and advocate for education for both boys and girls and children with disabilities.
The program provides funding through sector budget support to MEHRD to support infrastructure development in schools and in SINU.
The program is managed under the Australia-Solomon Islands Program Support (ASIPS) Facility by DT Global.

The Role
The Infrastructure Project Management Specialist will support MEHRD's Asset Management Division (AMD) in the planning, delivery, and successful completion of school infrastructure projects funded through DFAT's Earmarked Sector Budget Support (ESBS) and other development partner initiatives.
The role will also strengthen AMD's project management, construction supervision, quality assurance, and contract administration capabilities while supporting ongoing improvements to asset and infrastructure management.
Working closely with MEHRD staff, provincial education providers, schools, and development partners, the Specialist will help deliver quality, sustainable infrastructure outcomes across the education sector.
