Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the grant proposal development process, coordinate with internal colleagues to receive technical input, and submit proposals to donors in a timely manner
- Support the Senior Leadership Team to nurture and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, such as donors, partners and networks, by advising on donor prioritization and developing written products to be used in donor and partner engagement meetings.
- Lead WVIM’s resource mobilization strategy development, including bringing creativity, innovation and proactivity, to secure new funding streams.
- Identify funding opportunities by collecting donor intelligence, prospecting, funding landscape assessments, tracking and identifying upcoming grant opportunities, and conducting "Go / No-Go" analyses,
- Strengthen WVIM’s internal grant acquisition processes and build the grant acquisition capability across the organization.
- Oversee the Grant Acquisition Department including staffing related tasks such as recruitment, work allocation, and staff performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in development studies / international development, Public Health, Agriculture, or Economics.
- MSc/MA in Development Studies, Business Administration, Management, or relevant technical field (e.g. Public Health, Economics, Agriculture, Social Work)
- Demonstrated 5 years’ experience in successful program design, proposal writing, funding acquisition, and donor relations
- At least 3 years’ experience in managing a unit or department
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Knowledge of the humanitarian industry and major bilateral and multilateral donors in Myanmar
- In-depth knowledge on program design and technical framework development
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders in the proposal development process
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office package
