Unit Context
The Digital Workplace team enables staff across the institution to work productively, securely, and seamlessly by delivering integrated digital workplace products and services. The team partners closely with platform owners, engineering, IT Operations, and business stakeholders to support mobility, hybrid work, and user-centered technology experiences. The ITSDX unit operates within the Digital Workplace and is accountable for delivering secure, reliable, and high-quality end-user technology experiences that enable modern ways of working at scale. Within ITSDX, the Device Lifecycle and Experience team owns the end-to-end user device journey for approximately 30,000 end users, applying an experience-driven, product-led approach to ensure PC, Mobile and Print products and services are consistent, scalable, cost-effective, and responsive to evolving work patterns and technology standards.
Duties and accountabilities:
• Performs device provisioning activities for PC, Mobile and Print including procurement, product receipt, inventory management, user request processing, logistics and user communication
• Coordinates device request distribution within the internal team with critical focus on XLA
• Supports implementation of annual investment plans for PCs
• Serves as the device provisioning point of contact for ITSDX service and product leads, HQ and CO TS Staff.
• Configure vendor systems in support of automated B2B transactions, automated delivery receipt confirmation and relevant data feed from vendor systems into WBG systems
• Create and manage modern inventory management tool for PC, Mobile and Print
• Escalate systematic blockers promptly as necessary to ensure high productivity and compliance with pre-defined XLAs
• Writes and updates standard operation procedures for relevant products and services
• Ability to identify and resolve complex productivity blockers, fast track and streamline operations with a special focus on automation and efficiency gains
• Out of the box thinking for product and process enhancement, together with usable test scenarios and measurable outcomes
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, and deal sensitively in a multi-cultural environment, and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (for example, in the IT field: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience).
• Experience in logistics, request and incident management systems, inventory management, vendor relationship management
• Good understanding of winOS, iOS and related IT accessories
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication, focused on customer service and conflict resolution
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems independently, as well as in collaboration within a team
• Proficiency with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
• Excellent customer service, technical, and analytical skills
• Sharp focus on details with emphasis on ~100% accuracy in operational procedures
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays to meet operational demands.
