How can you make a difference?

We are seeking a reliable and professional Drivers for Dnipro, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv offices to provide safe, efficient, and timely transportation services in support of organizational operations. The role involves driving staff, visitors, and goods to various locations, including field sites, while strictly adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards. The Driver will also maintain vehicle readiness through routine checks, ensure proper documentation of trips, and use digital tools for fleet management and reporting. A strong sense of responsibility, discretion, and professionalism is essential in this role.

In addition to driving duties, the Driver supports office operations during non-driving periods by assisting with administrative tasks and participating in training and safety activities. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, at least two years of professional driving experience, and a clean driving record. Excellent communication skills, a client-oriented approach, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment are required. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the continuity, safety, and credibility of field operations.

The Driver provides reliable and safe driving services while ensuring compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols.

Drivers are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, integrity, adaptability and protocol awareness. They are also expected to support administrative tasks and engage in self-directed learning during non-driving periods.

The Driver demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

Minimum requirements

1. Education: A secondary education is required, along with a valid driver`s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
2. Work Experience: Minimum two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
3. Skills: Driving, Vehicle Maintenance, knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
4. Language Requirements: Ukrainian - Proficient/Fluent, English - Basic

Desirables

1. Language: Knowledge of another official UN language or a local language
2. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.  Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station is required for IP positions and will be facilitated by UNICEF.
