Key Responsibilities: Technical support Liaise with the local administration to mobilize the community for the project interventions. Facilitate community meetings in relation to the projects Support sanitation and hygiene coverage through various behaviour change methodologies such as CLTS, Nurturing Care Groups (NCG) and WASH Business Centres. Support sanitation and hygiene interventions within any grants Support various capacity building sessions for the communities such as training the communities on sanitation and nutrition linkages, importance of hand washing with soap at critical times, household water treatment and other hygiene promotion aspects. Support the establishment/strengthening of referral mechanisms/processes by community health promotors (CHPs) and Health workers - Monthly meetings with CHPs. Support roll-out of Health activities in the AP such as maternal, new born and child health (MNCH) and integration of the same into WASH activities Quality Assurance-Monitoring, reporting and Documentation Support in the coordination of joint monitoring visits between the donor and the national office. Participate in evaluation planning and support data collection teams, analysis and interpretation Support monitoring on a monthly basis (project indicators progress) and make relevant improvements Collect (such as through digital means-m Water) and share information to guide project teams in timely writing and submission of quality reports (Annual, Semi-annul and Monthly Management Reports) in line with WV/grant reporting guidelines and the donor expectation. Utilize financial planning tools such as spending plans, work plans based on project activities and budgets. Utilize budget estimates and anticipated costs based on programmatic priorities and activities for planning purposes. Monitor (with support of the project officer-sanitation and hygiene or other AP WASH and health staff) on a monthly basis the project implementation on budget, on time and on target. Advocacy, Fundraising, Engagement with strategic partners, Linkages and networks & partnership development Participate in mobilizing stakeholders during baselines, evaluations and other relevant programming activities Collaborate with community leaders and other partners to plan monitoring activities Represent WVK in relevant forums within the AP area Support fundraising initiatives for health, sanitation and hygiene such as proposal development. Provide support to community led processes of monitoring public service delivery. Ensure communities are mobilized and participate in their WASH and health projects QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: 1. A minimum of 1 years’ experience in community development work implementing behaviour change methodologies in sanitation and hygiene such as Community Led Total Sanitation and sanitation marketing 2. A diploma in public health/ Environmental health, environmental science, community development, community health or related field 3. Prior experience working with partners at community level 4. Good community mobilization and engagement skills 5.
