Employee Contract Type: Local - Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term) Job Description: Major Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Actively participate in the national Interagency Coordination Committees (ICC) and other national forums and working groups, Support the existing provincial ICC and district task force. Conduct regular CGPP partners' meetings and organize review and planning forums involving the provincial, territorial health zone offices and partners' field offices. Organize regular meetings with health zone offices, church synods, community leaders and members, and other stakeholders to take project ownership. Build effective partnerships between CGPP NGOs and international, national, and provincial agencies involved in polio at respective levels to share information and experiences and avoid duplication of efforts. Strengthen provincial, and health zone immunization systems to achieve polio eradication by reducing zero-dose children and improving immunization coverage. Support provincial, and district planning and implementation of supplemental polio immunizations and outbreak response campaigns. Support community-based surveillance for AFP/VPD case detection, reporting, and response (and case detection of other infectious diseases) coordinate integrated interventions of Maternal and Nex born health (Promote early ANC (<16 weeks), birth preparedness and danger-sign recognition, Strengthen PNC follow-up and rapid referral for complications, Support MOH quality improvement for essential MNH and selected BEmONC signal functions Coordinate integrated interventions of Child health (Integrated community case management (iCCM/IMNCI) for common childhood illnesses, Referral completion and follow-up for danger signs/severe cases, Link every contact to routine immunization and zero-dose recovery Coordinate integrated interventions of nutrition (MUAC/edema screening + growth monitoring during iCCM and outreach contacts, IYCF counseling (exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding) and mother-to-mother support, CMAM referrals and defaulter follow-up for MAM/SAM treatment continuity Ensure the proper implementation of Global Health Security (GHS) activities at the level of the supported province. Capacity Development Provide capacity building of Health Officer staff, including provision of technical resources and linkage to partners and stakeholders undefined undefined Ensure quality monitoring of all health capacity building events ( CMAM, Mothe MUAC approach, MNCH, IYCF, GHS, Immunization, Learning and Evidence Base Development, Dissemination and Knowledge Management Assist research in the field as part of research team, field preparation, field supervision Assist ME (Monitoring and Evaluation) team in data interpretation and writing reports that show evidence of results and impacts Identify best/promising practices and success stories for documentation and dissemination Share good practices among health zone within the same provinces and among different provinces Support timely documentation and use of information to improve the quality of polio eradication continuously (and other related health) activities. undefined Resource Mobilization Contribute to the development of project (grants and Responses) proposals that have Health component undefined Provide key ground data and information to the GAM (Grant Acquisition and Management) team Quality Assurance Assist field staff to write, and ensure timely submission from the project of monthly/quarterly/ annual HN activity reports and any grant-specific reports Assist NO Health Nutrition Technical Program Manager in monitoring, supervision and evaluation of the health project Ensure project alignment with TA/TP and meets minimum standards Ensure the Post-round independent monitoring and data review to address gaps and refusal. List education, knowledge & skills, licenses preferred, and all experiences required to perform this position in a fully competent manner: University degree in Medical Sciences; Master in Public Health preferred Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus note, etc. At least Five years experiences working in international NGOs At least three years experiences in health program management, in immunization program, MNCH and Nutritionprogram is preferred. Proven experience in managing community projects Project management and design experience Project implementation and monitoring and evaluation Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, demonstrated leadership and good management ability. Excellent French communication skills (oral and written). A working knowledge of English A working knowledge of the local language Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Experience in Immunization and Disease surveillance Experience in MNCH and Nutrition Experience in Global Health Security (GHS) Experience in health Zone management Theory of change and logical framework development Database management, statistical skills and ability to critically evaluate health data Professional experience in training/capacity building Multi-sectoral/integrated program design and implementation Complete Travel and/or Work Environment statements if applicable. The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time.
