Who Can Apply?
We are looking for adolescents who:
- Are outspoken, confident, and willing to speak up on issues affecting adolescent youth;
- Are passionate about addressing challenges facing adolescents and young people in their communities;
- Belong to a school club, community group, youth network, online platform, or social space;
- Are active and influential on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), or WhatsApp;
- Are interested in leadership, advocacy, peacebuilding, community engagement, digital engagement, or social change;
- Are willing to participate actively in project activities and engagements.
Opportunity for Youth Networks and Organizations
Youth groups, school clubs, community-based organizations, and youth networks are also encouraged to nominate one adolescent representative from their network to participate in the project.
We especially encourage nominations of adolescents who demonstrate:
- Leadership potential;
- Creativity and innovation;
- Strong communication skills;
- Community influence and peer mobilization ability.
What Selected Participants Will Gain
Participants selected for the Youth Talk Project will benefit from opportunities including:
- Peace building and Basic Journalism training;
- Mentorship and networking opportunities;
- Skills in digital engagement and responsible online influence;
- Participation in community dialogues and youth-led initiatives;
- Exposure to platforms that amplify youth voices and ideas;
- Opportunities to engage with fellow adolescents, community leaders, and stakeholders.

- School/Organization/Network (if applicable)
- County/Sub-county/Area of residence
- Phone Number or Contact Information (Name of parent whose information has been used)
- Social Media Handle(s) if any
- A short paragraph (150–250 words) explaining:
For youth networks making nominations, kindly include:
- Name of the network/group;
- Name of nominated adolescent;
- Brief reason for nomination.
