The United Nations Secretary-General is responsible for the investment of the assets of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF). The Secretary-General has delegated this responsibility to the Representative of the Secretary-General for the investment of the assets of the UNJSPF (RSG). The RSG is, in turn, assisted in this function by the Office of Investment Management (OIM). OIM manages a $110+ billion multi-asset class, global investment portfolio, about 85% of which is actively managed in-house. Asset classes under management comprise of global equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, timber and commodities. This position is located in the Business Support Section (BSS), which provides administrative support services to UNJSPF-PA and OIM. The incumbent will report to the Human Resources Team Lead for OIM.
Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: Human Resources Management • Initiates, reviews, processes and follows-up on actions related to recruitment of staff, interns and consultants. • Responds to enquiries and provides information and advice to staff • Oversees the maintenance of vacancy announcement files and keeps track of status of vacancy announcements • Prepare relevant statistical data/charts. General Administration • Drafts routine correspondence to respond to enquiries in respect to personnel matters. • Assists with the collection and analysis of data • Assists with visualizations and updating information material • Assists with day-to-day administration of HR services • Assists with administrative duties related to the Service Now HRSD implementation project • Assist with monitoring and tracking flexible work arrangements • Assist with the monitoring and tracking of training requests. • Performs other related administrative duties, as required
