<h3>About One Acre Fund</h3> <p>Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. As a data-driven organization, our R&amp;D program is the beating heart of many strategic decisions which directly affect the wellbeing of hundreds of thousands of smallholder farmers every year.</p> <h3>Responsibilities</h3> <p><strong>Research</strong></p> <ul> <li>Literature reviews, rapid evidence assessments, expert consultation etc to identify impactful pest prevention and control technologies, especially to guide country programmes on interventions to trial.</li> <li>Design and support on-farm experimentation to evaluate and adapt decision support tools and novel pest management technologies (e.g. locally sourced botanical pesticides, micronutrient fertilization, improved varieties)</li> <li>Oversight over surveys to characterise farmers' pest challenges and adoption of IPM practices, and
