The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance. The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has some 18,000 staff worldwide. In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence in Ukraine. Over 900 team members working across the county in various professional fields.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Accountability, Analysis, and Evidence (AAE) Unit strengthens the ICRC Ukraine Delegation’s understanding of the needs, risks, and priorities of people affected by conflict across its five offices and nationwide operations. The Analysis and Evidence Specialist serves as the team’s methodology and analytical focal point, providing technical leadership on research design, data collection, monitoring, and analysis. The role ensures that assessments and analytical products are methodologically sound, aligned with global ICRC standards, and adapted to operational realities in Ukraine, while supporting operational departments in evidence-based response design, monitoring, learning, and decision-making.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the AAE Deputy Coordinator and in close collaboration with the AAE team:
- Guide departments in developing objectives, methodologies, and indicators related to data collection exercises.
- Draft and/or review Terms of Reference (ToRs) and related documentation for assessments, monitoring, and data collection.
- Design and review qualitative and quantitative data collection tools to ensure coherence, quality, and usability.
- Guide the development and review of analytical dashboards and reports.
