Company Description
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.
The Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA) is the OECD’s flagship initiative to help optimise the global impact of emissions reduction efforts around the world through better data and information sharing, evidence-based mutual learning and better mutual understanding, and inclusive multilateral dialogue. By taking stock of different carbon mitigation approaches, mapping policies to the emissions they cover, and estimating their comparative impact in terms of emissions reductions, the IFCMA is enhancing understanding of the comparative impact of the full spectrum of carbon mitigation approaches deployed around the world and their combined global impact.
The project is being carried out in collaboration with the Economics Directorate (ECO), the Environment Directorate (ENV) and the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTP), is led by the Secretary General, and is overseen by a Deputy Secretary-General. The Office of the Secretary-General is now seeking to hire an analyst to support the Deputy Secretary-General and IFCMA coordination team in orienting, coordinating, managing and advancing the work.
